animals. the movie, "les mis" had quite the impact on one couple. >> at the end, his eyes. >> find out what emotional event this couple says they cried at less than the movie and you won't believe it. and base jumping like you have never seen before. >> oh, look at that! another high-speed police chase, this time through two coun counties in north carolina. in the car ahead, 62-year-old bill brock. trying to escape state troopers. and what they realized is a stolen white nissan altima. >> 62 years old? you don't think of a 62-year-old male being the guy who steals cars and runs from police. >> on i-40, speeds got up to 120 miles per hour. look at this now he starts weaving in between traffic. getting dangerously close to

other cars. this is a craziest part. the troopers almost lost him because drivers like this, weren't getting over and you can actually hear some frustration in the troopers' voice. >> get over! >> at this point they're worried about the safety of other drivers, ha do they do? they throw out the stop sticks, and you see brock drive over the stop sticks in the video right here. but that doesn't stop him. he keeps going to the point where he lost both of his right tires. you see one going off. we see a lot of pit maneuvers. this one almost graceful. watch what the officers do, they go up, slightly bump him in the back. he turns around and he's scooted right over there to the shoulder where now he's surrounded by three different cars. here's where they get him out. >> yeah, get down! >> brock's in prison. pled guilty to a number of felony charges from this incident. >> you better get out of the car. you better climb over here.

heavy rains and storms have caused massive flooding in the uk. some of the floodwaters ended up surrounding an area where horses live. it looks like a small farm, a barn area. nearly 60 horses were trapped. kind of water-locked. in this area and the video you can see the terrible conditions the horses are living in. >> accord doing reports, the horses were chewing on the trees, trying to find food. they were drinking the dirty floodwaters. and according to some of the reports, some of the horses perished due to the conditions. animal lovers. horse lovers were so incredibly upset, they went to social media. they took to twitter and to facebook. there was a hash tag on twitter, causeway horses. people wanted to figure out how to save these beautiful animals. >> i have video of the people who came to the rescue. some horse owners, horse riders, horse experts, they are riding

horses while they have other horses attached to them. >> this is so dangerous. some of the horses looked like they're going a different direction than the rider was trying to take them. >> how dangerous for the people riding the horses. because we know how difficult it is to save one animal. >> accord doing the information we have, the horses were brought to safety. >> because basically social media and people who were horse lovers came together to make sure the horses survived. a houston-area convenience store owner met violence with the better part of discretion. a robber jumps over his counter, jam as gun in his face demanding cash. mike vora, the owner, has a weapon as well. >> but doesn't use it. khou asked him why. >> it's only $200 or something like that i thought i don't want to kill someone, you know, just for that. >> this video is from back in

november. and it happened on the eve of one of the largest hindu holidays, the festival of lights. so mike vora felt the $200 and it being a religious holiday wasn't worth being violent with violence. he didn't use his weapon. but he did push the panic button inside the store. which set off an alarm and locked the doors to this convenience store. so the robber was trapped. >> he was just running around, right? because he has no way out. >> now he's lost in the store with an armed guy who can't get up, he's freaking out. >> he's freaking out. he eventually ran through the convenience store. >> up a water heater into the ceiling and into the adjoining restaurant where he smashed out a side door and escaped. >> what? >> yeah. >> the rye why the video is still coming out. is houston police are still looking for this guy. >> one of our favorite

organizations around here is the u.s. coast guard. we love them. they do some amazing rescues. >> in 2012, they decided to pick their ten top videos. i have one that's particularly awesome. this video shows the severe weather in alaska. that coast guards have to deal with. this was the number seven video. and it's called iced over this is a rescue they pulled off on january 25th, 2012 in alaska, a fishing vessel was stranded, iced over. and of course, there go the wonderful members of the coast guard to rescue the team that was stranded. one of the coast guard members goes down on one of the lines and sends up one of the fishermen of course they ended up rescuing everybody. successful mission. >> i can't see the boat. >> i was thinking that. >> it's covered in ice. it is covered in ice. >> that's the boat. >> what about all this? >> that's impressive. that thing just gets locked in. it looks like somebody forgot it

in the freezer. it's got freezer burn. >> eventually everyone is up on the helicopter. the successful mission, thumb's up. >> if this is number seven, what's number one? >> the coast guard is cool. from watching all these videos, i should have been in the coast guard. a squirrel summons its inner superhero to get some chow. >> what? >> that was like a james bond move. >> sees the other cool move by the super squirrel to get some bird feeder food, next. canada gets a lot of snow, it only makes sense they came up with an efficient way to get rid of it. >> it's like an assembly line of trucks. >> see how this assembly line of snow-removal works on "right this minute."

if you're a fan of base jumping, there's nothing better than this one, rapid-fire base jumping. at an event in september, it was hosted for base jumpers to jump as much as they wanted. in three days, 2200 jumps were completed off this tower. 91 base jumpers from 17 countries jumped. over and over and over again. >> that looks amazing. >> and this if you're a base jumper, this is disneyland. >> they're wearing their helmets and they have go pros. >> i like to call the whirly bird to a couple of group jumps where they hold hands and go head-first, fall off backwards. one guy gets on another guy's shoulder and they jump off. look at that. >> when does this happen? >> poof. >> they have a landing zone and they've also got guys on scooters to shuttle you right
